Last year Nuno Gomez dove to about 1050 feet in the red sea, using open circuit scuba (the normal kind).
This is no longer the record dive, (one has now been made to 330m) but the records are better and the decompression time is much longer (4 hours). That makes me want to hold out on giving the 330m away just yet. Record (for one week) dive |

LED Throwies are small LED lights made up of an LED, a button cell, and a magnet. These (about 1 buck each I gather?) can be used to tag any metalic object including some very high spots like part of a walmart for example. Seems like fun. Reminds me of a rave for some reason.
