This is an example of the many great underwater photos taken by Kathy. The Oil Platforms (in this case off of CA) can often become an oasis for life, just as shipwrecks can, simply because they provide surface area in a place where solid habitat is so hard to find. See all the pics here: Kathy |

that's gorgeous, have you been scuba diving or snorkelling before?

Carmel, I have been snorkeling for a long time, and just recently started doing SCUBA. I got my certification, and a few side certs like Nitrox, Deep diver, advanced navigator, and limited vis.
