No shit! Jesus, that guy was lucky.

 

Actually he probably would never have been able to recreate that : )

Lucky that it hit the ground first also, from the sound it was probably returning at a few hundred fps. Probably enough to cause bad damage or even kill with a head shot. But after hitting the ground it was probably 50 - 100 fps only. And even then it seems to have hit his ear protection.

 

Thanks so much for your cat graphic comment. I'm so thick that the first time I saw it I thought it was a meaningless mysterious pattern. Then the next time it leapt out at me as a cat. It's great!

My head hurts after seeing that first vid. Yikes. No more of that. What were they? An offshoot of Mythbusters?

 

I got hit in the chest by a ricochet from a .38 special. I was wearing a leather jacket and it felt like I got kicked by a mule. It left a nasty bruise.
