| Be Yourself |
| Thursday, December 27, 2007 |
This great little short, call it art in moving pictures, was made within a month of the day of my birth. In many ways, I feel like this video is my long lost twin, separated at birth, the prodigal uncle or some such shit, and only now returned to me.

Many consider this the hardest climb in the world. It may not be, but is certainly in the top 10 hardest. It almost looks better from below, however, which is the only way I expect to see it in this life. |

| What do you see? |
| Friday, December 14, 2007 |

What is above the woman's head? When scientists showed a similar sketch to people from East Africa, nearly all the participants in the experiment said she was balancing a box or metal can on her head. In a culture containing few angular visual cues, the family is seen sitting under a tree. Westerners, on the other hand, are accustomed to the corners and boxlike shapes of architecture. They are more likely to place the family indoors and to interpret the rectangle above the woman's head as a window through which shrubbery can be seen. |

| R2K Google Search |
| Wednesday, December 05, 2007 |
Every month or so, I google search for R2K to see where I rank. I had finally made it up to 2nd place at some point last year, right after www.r2k.com (r2k inc). R2K ink is a software technology consulting firm, a company that makes computers or a computer that makes companies, something like that. The odds of beating them to the top place are pretty small, since they are r2k.com, and also probably not a great idea anyway because they might decide to sue me if I do make it to number 1.
Anyway as of today, I am number 2 as usual. But last week, for a while, a certain page took my place. They are number 3, for now...
4restore.com
Here is what they sell:

No that is not a titanium crack pipe. No it is not a plunger for a tiny toilet, or some musical instrument... Here is what fans of the product have said about R2K:
"I too think R2K is a good product and have good results with it. But there is no way I would have been able to use it until recently. I ordered mine after several weeks of tugging a tight circ job."
Hmm good comments, but rather vague.
"I brought R2K half a year ago to restore my foreskin. I am quite impressed with the equipment and my result. I do think dedication is a major issue involved. If you spent time on it, it's going to be a "big" return for you.
Hard work pays off."
And there you have it. Not only a strange foreskin restoration device, called R2K, but it is needlessly gayly sold as well:

So what do you do when your page is associated with this product? What is the guy with the sweaty back smelling? Is it the other dudes foreskin? Who the hell is going to wear a metal tube like this all day for months? METAL. WINTER. |

| Underground Garden in Japan |
| Saturday, December 01, 2007 |

"An underground rice and vegetable field has been planted beneath an office building in Tokyo's Otemachi business district. This urban farm - in what used to be the vault of a major bank - is maintained using computer-controlled artificial light and temperature management. It was brought into being by a personnel company as a means of providing agricultural training to young people who are having trouble finding employment and middle-aged people in search of a second career.
New Use for Former Bank Vault. The hi-tech vegetable patch, called Pasona O2, is located in the Otemachi Nomura Building in the Tokyo district of Otemachi, where many major corporations have their headquarters. The building, which has 27 floors above ground and five below, used to be home to Tokyo Life Insurance and Resona Bank (formerly Daiwa Bank). But these firms have left, and office space in the building is now leased to several different companies. This project was launched by the temporary staffing agency Pasona Inc. When Pasona moved its headquarters to this building, it decided to lease the second basement floor - formerly the Resona Bank vault - and turn it into a vegetable garden." |
