These are a bunch of videos showing testing of high bypass turbofan engines. They are great engines, and highly efficient (compared to rockets). The money and science that goes into them is impressive.

cool vid's. That's one expensive test.
As for getting a bird in the engine..there was a cooler vid in the related vids: bird but it wasn't a test though :P

That is a crazy one! I wonder what the flames are... dirty burning of the birds body? Feathers making a quick flare up?
