all in all the banks have done a real good job...not. Thankfully most people overhere weren't allowed (or were advised not to take it on) the enormous mortgages that were taken in the US.
Do you btw know if just before the 'Krach' in the 30s there was a bump upwards? Because it seems people aren't acting like there's a financial crisis till they really really notice. They're spending more than ever on Sinterklaas & Santaclaus (some on both hehe).
