"Russian media reported a weird medical story about the man from the Russian city Izhevsk. The man had severe pains in his chest and went to the doctor for a consultation. After the X-rays were made the doctors were sure the patient has a tumor in his lungs and decided to perform surgery. “When I opened the tumour I found something very strange - so strange that I couldn’t believe my eyes”, was telling the surgeon to journalists, “there was a real fur-tree, but very little it was, just a few cm (about one inch) tall growing through his lungs. I blinked three times and then called my assistant to take a look, and then he confirmed this”.
The tree was removed later and was sent to a lab for tests on how it could get growing there."

when we were young we used to joke that when you would swallow a seed of an apple a tree would grow inside of you.
I will néver joke about it again ;)

You know I think that is how they are explaining this. Either it is a hoax, he swallowed it in some insane way (and didnt know, did know?), or he actually inhaled a smaller bud that did grow slightly in his lung, say from 1 cm to whatever we see here, looks like 3 cm or so.

probably a hoax. the sequence of events dont make sense after the xray was taken. it doesnt resemble a typical tumor so they probably would have biopsied it and determined at that point that it wasnt cancer. plus his bloodwork would have left a couple of wtf??'s behind. assuming it's true, the theory of him swallowing it makes as much sense as the story itself. He would have had to aspirate it.

I do believe it's true because Russian doctors would think it is Cancer. But a tree growing in his lungs? Duuude.

It looks like there's other stuff near the lung in the xray.
Also, would they have removed the entire lung? Maybe he died?
Maybe it's a joke.
