Hey everyone I just noticed a "Feed America" add on this page. Do you see this add? If so, can you tell me what it is about? I cannot click my own adds, that is a violation, but I dont know if this is a for profit thing or a donation thing. Post to the comments if you see this add and know more about it. |

| 497 - Recent high score |
| Thursday, April 23, 2009 |

This is my highest score in a long while. Ever since spawn protection has increased, and shotgun damage has decreased, my score has been greatly reduced. But if you combine a long, very close game with aggressive players of similar skill, it creates the perfect climate for high scores. Sadly my team didn't win in the end. |

| 496 - Emergency landing |
| Wednesday, April 22, 2009 |
"April 21/09 - WINTER HAVEN
As a flight instructor, Kyle Davis teaches his students how to make emergency landings. On Sunday, he got put to the test. "I was incredibly lucky," Davis told FOX 13. "It was a whole bunch of luck and a little bit of experience." Davis, and his passenger, a professional videographer, left Gilbert Field in Winter Haven around 10:30 a.m. They were on their way to the Sun 'N Fun Fly in, a 15-minute flight. Since so many other planes were flying there as well, Davis's passenger told FOX 13 that they thought "it would be cool" to video their trip. Just minutes after taking off, the engine conked out. Davis got it going again, then it stopped a second time. Then, a third. "He was just awesome," said John Amundsen, who taught Davis to fly. "I just hope if I ever have a situation like that, I am as cool as Kyle was." As the plane got closer and closer to the ground, Davis had to make a split-second decision. Land in a nearby lake, or on Havendale Boulevard -- one of Winter Haven's busiest streets. For whatever reason, there was no traffic on his side of Havendale, so Davis set her down there. Now people around the world are watching what happened on YouTube. By Tuesday, it had gotten thousands of hits. Even though Davis may have nerves of steel, a number of words on the video are bleeped out.
"I was saying my prayers," Davis said. "I was saying my prayers." - From LL. |

| 493 - Slow Loris |
| Sunday, April 19, 2009 |
I would turn the sound off on this one... the giggling woman is obviously hot, but then some D bag next to her is talking in the lowest possible voice about some crap or other. Really ruins the moment.
"The slow lorises are three species of loris and are classified as the genus Nycticebus. These slow moving strepsirrhine primates range from Borneo and the southern Philippines in Southeast Asia, through Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, India (North Eastern India, Bengal), southern China (Yunnan area) and Thailand. There are thought to be approximately one million[2] slow lorises in Asia, although they are hunted for their large eyes which are prized[3] for local traditional medicine. The Indonesian name, malu malu, can be translated as "shy one"."
"Slow lorises can produce a toxin which they mix with their saliva and use as protection against enemies. Mothers will lick this toxin onto their offspring before leaving them to search for food. The toxin is produced by glands on the insides of their elbows - the branchial region. The lorises lick or suck it into their mouths and deliver it when they bite. The toxin is not known to be fatal to humans, but causes a painful swelling. If the toxin does not deter a predator, the slow loris will often drop from the branch to the ground and roll into a protective ball."

| 491 - Tree in Lung |
| Thursday, April 16, 2009 |
"Russian media reported a weird medical story about the man from the Russian city Izhevsk. The man had severe pains in his chest and went to the doctor for a consultation. After the X-rays were made the doctors were sure the patient has a tumor in his lungs and decided to perform surgery. “When I opened the tumour I found something very strange - so strange that I couldn’t believe my eyes”, was telling the surgeon to journalists, “there was a real fur-tree, but very little it was, just a few cm (about one inch) tall growing through his lungs. I blinked three times and then called my assistant to take a look, and then he confirmed this”.
The tree was removed later and was sent to a lab for tests on how it could get growing there."

| 490 - The future of the Earth? |
| Wednesday, April 15, 2009 |

Globus Cassus
This is a proposed plan (really a science fiction book) to slowly convert the Earth into a giant space colony. Over centuries or millenniums (millennia), the entire planet will be dismantled and manipulated to create this new form. |
