982 - Explosives are NOT a joke |
|
First of all, it does not take 3 people to drop an explosive into a pumpkin. Next, you can get a longer fuse or make an electronic ignition system. Letter C, when being stupid, at the very least use goggles and heavy gloves. |

Skeleton in Scuba image
While there is a small chance that this actually is a skeleton, the idea that this image shows a skeleton is silly. If this woman took a picture of one, she would have certainly seen it in person and recognized it.
The idea is that the skeleton is actually the body of Natalee Holloway. If so, it was a very lucky find! If not, we probably won't hear anything about this again, certainly not a retraction or clarification from CNN.
"When I looked at that photo, I said, 'By darn, that certainly does look like a skeleton. You can see the skull. You can see where the eye sockets were. You can see where the chin was. It's lying flat on its back. And its arms are cradled around. You can almost see fingers. And then on the one sleeve it looks like some kind of maybe clothing that's deteriorating."
It is sad and scary that in a world full of people who are massively incompetent when it comes to even looking at things (for example, when New Yorkers panicked about Airforce 1 flying over Manhattan), the police and media just take a picture like this and run with it. No wonder people see lights in the sky and assume aliens are behind them; the average person simply has not been given the tools to make observations and come up with reasonable explanations.
This is what a (simulated) dead body looks like underwater:

954 - The struggle |
|
Sometimes it seems like people protest just to be part of a group and belong and to make friends. Similar to the reasons why young men go to church, and I go to strip clubs. |

Somehow the only people who keep talking about race are black people. As Cosby said; "There is a time, ladies and gentlemen, when we have to turn the mirror around."

937 - Weight loss, gain, and maintain |
Monday, March 08, 2010 |

This webpage has some simple advice on how to gain, lose, or maintain your weight. All of this stuff makes sense. The images above seem silly and too simple, but they are generally correct. And people tend to ignore the simple math associated with weight. Most would far rather blame weight on genetics or some other factors, or just ignore the fact that they are directly to blame.
In any event, there is a energy use calculator on the page. I tried messing with the settings, and it turns out that...
If you are a 1 year old, 8 ft 11 inches, and weight 999 lbs, and are ultra-active, you will burn about 15,000 calories per day. Which puts you above burn victim numbers. |
