Because my dream of becoming a pro quake 3 player has come true, and the wealth associated with that has left me unwilling to do anything that doesn't involve caviar and alabaster bathtubs of champagne, R2K a quake 3 blog will no longer update for a duration of not less than 1 year. And possibly as long as infinity. Now that we are in a new decade (thanks in large part to the stewardship provided by this web page during the worst of the Bush years), it is time to move on to new media such as apps, vlogs, podcasts, telegraphs, holograms, and the kind of brain porn they used in the film "Strange days."

To my loyal reader and a half, I am sorry to leave you short on the AZN images and videos of things blowing up. Posting will continue at High Power Rocketry. (Where things do blow up, from time to time.)

Please visit the archives below if you are interested in previous R2K posts. There have been about 1380 posts since September 2004. Much has changed since then. For example, in post number one I began this blog with the following prescient statement:

"Whats really good? This is my page, something free to use or not, to fool around with or not...

I just have been looking into free things from Google.com (not worth 75 bucks a share, but still a pretty nice company)."

First of all, in 2004 it was considered polite and formally appropriate to greet people by saying "What's really good." This was before the "no homo" movement took over, and well before the "smell you later" trend of '07. Also note how valuable my investment advice has been as google is now trading for $600 a share.

Other violations of PCC policy include the use of language considered profane or foul by the college administration, visiting movie theaters, patronizing unauthorized area businesses, being off campus after hours and being in another residence hall room after hours. Additionally, being in a residence hall belonging to a member of the opposite sex, the use of alcohol, or tobacco products, gambling, possession or use of pornography, engaging in any form of pre-marital sexual activity or any other actions considered by the college to be immoral, and engaging in social activities with members of the opposite sex as a group while off campus can result in immediate dismissal. The administration of PCC also reviews any reports brought to their attention of students behaving in a manner unbecoming of PCC ideals who are at home or away on school breaks while enrolled at the college.[13]"

Seriously why are religious nuts always the ones on school boards deciding what children are going to learn? Well rest assured that the next dozen are on the way, trying to inject religion into our lives and our schools. That is when they are not doing meth with a gay stripper.

I am glad they are still alive, and that fat gunman got exactly what he had coming to him, but I am left with even more concern about who is running our rural schools. It is no wonder that creationism is slipped in from time to time in the "little brown jug" states like Kansas or Texas.
